LAH is still awesome! Haven't lived in OH in over a dozen yrs but drove 9 hrs with my Bull Mastiff (GarveyRoRo) for an event and needed care for him while there. The pre-boarding process was easy and allowed me and my current Vet to give heads up info about my big boy. Many ppl are afraid of him d/t his size and his serious look. The staff didn't flinch, they took great care of him and the cost was very reasonable. I will arrange this again when he travels there with me! I was impressed with the new facility. The place is beautifully laid out, well managed, and clean throughout. Seeing Dr Polasky after so many years was a special treat! He and his wife Molly, and other staff took care of my Dalmation and my Wire Fox Terriers when I lived there. The original Lewis doctors took care of all of my parents' family pets back in the day. I highly recommend LAH to everyone with pets!

Dr Polaski is by far the worst vet I have ever met. He’s too much of a sissy to work with dogs who get a little nippy because they’re nervous. He will muzzle them and due to that he will not remove it to check oral health or check for tumors. Due to this my dog ended up suffering from a tumor in her mouth and nasal cavity because he never checked her mouth he was to afraid. She ended up having to be put down but by that point she had suffered way more than she ever should have. The Lewis animal hospital also will not make time to see your sick dog when they have been vomiting and having diarrhea for three days. Had to take my dog elsewhere to find out he had cancer and had to be put down. It came on suddenly and without warning and he was seen by strangers and not his usual vet. I would not recommend Lewis animal hospital to anyone even my worst enemy. Save your pets and go to Noah’s arc, banfield, or just about anywhere else except here.

I’ve trusted this location with my puppy for over a year now. I now refer all my puppy parent friends to this location. They’ve been great to my dog whether it’s for grooming or vet needs.
