I went here about a year ago & I have been hesitant about making a review since. Let me first start with saying, I had to go to the one in Louisville first & I would give that clinic at 5/5 , they were so good with both of my dogs , the vet was very friendly & the medicine she prescribed them helped their skin be perfect for the month. I wish that one was closer to me . When I first got to the Cincinnati animal dermatologist vet, I picked up my dogs poop outside & noticed there were no trash cans & thought that was very odd considering it’s a vet . So I walked in the lobby & asked the lady at the desk if there’s a place she can throw this poop bag away & she said “yes there’s a dumpster behind the building” like excuse me ? I’m a paying customer & i am a female that’s by herself , I shouldn’t have to dispose my dog’s poop outside in the back of your company’s building. So I’m like okay whatever, I go throw it away back there . Then I’m checked in , waiting in the lobby , I have two small dogs so I had them both in a dog stroller & the same lady at the desk looks at them & is like “you guys are so cute but you have to stay in there” That was an odd thing to say to someone else’s dog when the dogs aren’t even trying to get out or anything. She just gave me weird vibes . Then we get called back to the doctors , he asks how their skin is doing & is like “okay cut out the medicines we are gonna put them on a prescription food diet” & he did not even look at either dog’s skin, I had to ask him to. He acted like he didn’t even want to do that . My bill was like $400 for literally nothing. I’m PAYING a company to look at my animals & they couldn’t even do the bare minimum, they make you feel like they don’t want you there. The food my dogs tried was $40 a bag & literally didn’t even help their skin whatsoever . I don’t feel like this dermatology vet knows what they are doing. I would spend whatever it costs to make my dog’s skin feel so much better. I’ve been hesitant on posting this review because I hate putting down a company & talking poorly of them, but they gave me poor service, didn’t address any problems or solutions for my dogs & talked rudely to my dogs . I would hate for another young person to come here & waste their money on a company that doesn’t even help their dogs & give terrible customer service. It’s mentally exhausting dealing with seeing your animals be in pain from their skin & not knowing where to turn to & then you have hope taking them to a vet dermatologist & this is the result. I would only go to the Louisville location. They know what they’re doing there & they treat your animals like they are their own . I’m really surprised this location is still in business . Do not waste your money here.

Dr. Breen has been caring for my dogs ever since I took my very first dog to him over 20 years ago. At the time, no other vet was able to properly diagnose his problem and Dr. Breen was a godsend. Indy was finally able to find relief and live a normal life. Since that time, I have trusted Dr. Breen with all of my pups. There is no other vet in the city who is so knowledgeable in their practice and caring for their patients and families. As with any specialist, I expect to pay more for a visit to Dr. Breen. But I know I have saved unnecessary spending from multiple visits to a vet who may unknowingly provide the wrong diagnosis and treatment.
